Wuerttemberg, Kingdom, Digits in Circle-Changed Colors, 1878/1878, Michel Nr. 51-52; Two stamps with nominals of 50Pf and 2 Mark were re-issued in olive-green and dark vermillion. Note that the 2 Mark stamp was the replacement of the former 70Kr stamp (Michel Nr. 42) that could only be used by postal authorities and it was sold not sold to the general public. As a result all stamps had an imprint on the back that said „unverkaeuflich“ (not for sale). The 2 Mark stamp was mostly used to pay for packages or large shipments.

Here is a mint block of four of the 50Pf stamp (grey-green) with full original gum. The two top stamps are hinged but the two bottom stamps are mint never hinged.

This is the used 50Pf stamp (grey-green)

Here is the 50Pf stamp together with 10Pt and 20Pf paying an overall postage of 80Pf for a package with a weight of 1.5 kilograms. The stamps are cancelled with the Stuttgart II fan cancel (Value Category 2).

Here is the 2Mark stamp mint with full original gum (hinge remnant). Signed Alberto Diena.

Paper of the 2Mark stamp used on February 22nd, 1882 in Backnang. Michel values a used pair at twenty times that of a single stamp.
