Wuerttemberg, Republic, Digit in Sign-Overprinted „Volksstaat Wuerttemberg“, 1919, Michel Nr. 258-270; With the change of Government from a kingdom to a republic various values were overprinted in black.
Here is the mint, never hinged, set (except the 3Pf and 25Pf values are hinged). The 20Pf values are of color variety a) and c)
Here is the 20Pf stamp (mint, never hinged) in the C color version (black-cobalt-blue, Michel Nr. 264c). Single stamp signed „c Winkler“. Complete sheet mint never hinged of the same color version. All selvage margins intact. Small disconnect in the gutter area not affecting stamps.
This is the rare d) color version (middle-violet-ultramarine, Michel Nr. 264d) mint, never hinged.
A rare version of the 50Pf stamp is known without water mark. It is listed in Michel as Michel Nr. 269Y. Most overprinted stamps were already produced with water mark 1 (Rings & Crosses). Only a few sheets of the old 50Pf stamp in the black-red-brown color version without water mark were left for overprinting which makes this a very rare stamp. No more than 10 mint never hinged stamps known like this one.
An overprint error is known of the 25Pf and 30Pf stamp in which the overprint is upside-down. Listed in Michel under 265K. Here is a rare mint, never hinged block of four, of the 25Pf error stamp.
Here is the used set. All values singed „Infla“ except the 3Pf and the b) value of the 50Pf. The 20Pf and 50Pf value is present in the three and respective two color versions.
Imperforate trial prints are known of the 50Pf value. It is listed in Michel under Nr. 269bPU. Here is a mint never hinged specimen.
