Wuerttemberg, Republic, Digits in Rhombus-New Values and/or Colors, January 1921, Michel Nr. 150-158; Nine stamps were issued in the nominals of 10Pf, 15Pf, 20Pf, 40Pf, 50Pf, 60Pf, 1.25 Mark, 2 Mark and 3 Mark. The stamps have the water mark „Crosses and Rings“ and perforation 11.5:11.0.

In order to introduce the new stamp to the general public specimen copies of the stamp were released by postal authorities to the press. In order to avoid that these samples were used in order to harm the post they were overprinted with „Probe zur Frankatur nicht verwendbar“ (Specimen not valid as postage). The 10Pf stamp inadvertently was issued to a local authority in the imperforate state. The imperforate stamps were used on official mail and cancelled with machine cancel of Stuttgart 3. One stamp slightly injured by tearing the pair from the sheet. Listed in Michel under 153PU. Exceedingly rare!
