Digits in Rhombus-New Nominals 1916

Wuerttemberg, Digits in Rhombus-New Nominals, 1916, Michel Nr. 119-121; Three new nominals of 2.5Pf, 7.5Pf and 15Pf were issued in perforation 11.5:11.0 and water mark „Crosses and Rings“.

In order to introduce the new stamp to the general public specimen copies of the stamp were released by postal authorities to the press. In order to avoid that these samples were used in order to harm the post they were overprinted with „Probe zur Frankatur nicht verwendbar“ (Specimen not valid as postage). Here are the mint hinged specimen of the 2.5Pf and 7.5Pf values with full original gum.
